Converting .mkv videos from h.265 to h.264 results in a substantially larger file, unfortunately. 3x the size in some cases.

At least I will be able to stream them around the house now. :comfyshrug:

Command for reference:

ffmpeg -i my_input_file.mkv -map 0:v? -map 0:a? -map 0:s? -c:v libx264 -preset:v medium -profile:v high -rc-lookahead 900 -crf 16 -c:a copy -c:s copy my_output_file.mkv

If a toy at a store is proven to be dangerous, we take it off the market. It’s not the consumer’s responsibility to know which toys are safe.

If a car is proven to be unsafe, we take it off the market. It’s not the consumer’s responsibility to know which cars won’t deploy airbags.

If a food is proven to be dangerous, we make it tastier and stock most shelves with bad food and tell consumers they should do their own research and actively avoid harmful foods. We’ll also discount bad foods.
